Good cuts, nice backup band (Bill Cunliffe, Pete Christlieb, Anthony Wilson, Darek Oles, Joe LaBarbera). How's the surround mix?

It's a subtle mix. But nice music.

When it comes to the Groove Note catalog and this type of music, I'd rate "The Girl from Bossa Nova" by Jacintha ahead of the Eden Atwood album.
The Jacintha has a bit more happening in the Surround Channels + a stunning center channel vocal - especially at Multichannel DSD 256. A must-have for exaSound & NADAC Multichannel DAC owners.

I have them both in Stereo & Multichannel DSD 256 and the albums do make for some mellow and relaxing bossa nova listening.
Recommended.
