The reviewer doesn't actually say anything substantive about how good the surround is--he seems not to have played any actual multi-channel music--only that it's designed by Elliot Scheiner, who gets a photo, and that it has 17 carefully placed speakers. (And that another model will have 25.) The ultimate focus of the story is how legacy audiophile brands like McIntosh are entering the high-end car stereo market.

17+ speakers; as to how a standard 5.1 song sounds mixed into such a close environment (and how is that accomplished?)
