My 10 Dutton Vocalion discs just arrived in perfect condition. Am currently spinning Leonard Bernstein's magnifico THE PLANETS and it is indeed a sonic DISCRETE spectacular.

KUDOS to Michael J. Dutton for finally giving us this splendid release AS IT WAS ORIGINALLY RECORDED AND MIXED IN DISCRETE QUAD!

Utilizing RCA Red Seal's multitrack analogue master tapes, Michael J. Dutton has managed to turn James Galway's SHOWPIECES into a sonic thrill ride. Especially outstanding is Track #5: Michio Miyagi's glorious 1929 composition "Haru no Umi....' Exquisite!

Another outstanding D~V TWOFER and another instance of Michael J. turning water into WINE!

Some assert that Eugene Ormandy overstayed his welcome in Philadelphia while conducting the Philadelphia Orchestra but IMO, there is little evidence in this gorgeous rendering of Charles Ives skillfully transferred from the original DISCRETE analogue masters by Dutton Epoch HISTORIC. Over 81 minutes of lush strings and robust merry making from the always capable Philadelphians. A high recommendation!
