Ordered the blu-ray from Importcds. Even with added shipping, getting this for under $25 is more than reasonable. Amazing that the band and company were willing to offer so many formats at affordable prices. Could it be they were a bit embarrassed by all the delays? Nahhh!

I would be a bit disappointed If it's like the Guthrie DSOTM 5.1 mix, hopefully it be more adventurous.
You know what? The fact that they have released this as stand-alone blu-ray and sacd, I forgo my right to complain about the mix.
It's my favorite PF album, they've made it very affordable, and it is fiiiinaaaaly being released. I will be happy if the mix is at LEAST as good as TDSOTM, WYWH, TDB, and AMLOR.

The blu-ray is $22.46 at Deep Discount at the moment. Throw in a bargain bin CD to bump past $25 for free shipping (I added the latest Blackfield CD but noticed Radio KAOS for $3.99 as well). There's a 15% off coupon but it only applies to in stock stuff.

I added this somewhat 'animals' related item to nudge the total over $25:

pardonnez moi for my thread merde...I know this is the reason I do not have many friends:
I love PF VERY much and this is probably why I post this...
I do NOT understand all the excitement, taking into consideration how utterly disappointing the JGuthrie/RW (cause remember that SWTayler stated recently, that the final say is the artist's, not the engineer's , I am sure JG can come up with a great enveloping MCH mix) DSOTM 5.1 mix is, especially compared to the masterwork that is the AP Quad mix, which was probably not approved by RW/Gilmour...either that or they were REALLY stoned when they "approved" it...
Sp , please excuse me if I am not holding my breath nor joining the excitement on this thread and being the grumpy uncle here...
Having said that, I REALLY hope this MCH mix is a REAL MCH mix and not the travesty that the DSOTM SACD is...I always try to look at the bright side of life (thank you, Brian!)

I do wonder if we would think so poorly of the Guthrie DSotM if we never had an opportunity to compare it with the excellent Parsons quad mix. He's due some credit. Guthrie did manage to get better sonics out of it.

You do realize that this would have been digitized to PCM and then converted to DSD, right?
Not necessarily in this case, I think Guthrie's 5.1 mixes of DSOTM and WYWH were done natively in DSD (using Sony's Sonoma monitoring system) and converted to PCM later for the Blu-Ray releases.
