Swans Against The Sun was Michael Murphey's fifth studio album and only quad release, issued solely on SQ matrix-encoded LP in 1976. The follow-up to 1975's smash-hit Blue Sky Night Thunder (which featured the platinum-certified single "Wildfire"), Swans Against The Sun peaked at #44 on the US charts and features contributions from John Denver, Willie Nelson, and Charlie Daniels.

The quadraphonic mix is currently available to stream in "Dolby Audio" on Apple Music.

not a bad one this, slightly murky sound on a couple of tracks but some ok material and faintly enhanced by being Quad i'm sure.

tbh it was another mix i initially thought SQ-decoded wonkily, until i later put "3+3" together and made 4 (!) and realised this was another of those Bass Rear Left/Drums Rear Right style mixes and as this one handily credited them fellas what dunnit, unlike all the others, i figured they must all be by Bogert & Vincent! ta-da! how's that for SQ with no Logic! šŸ˜…šŸ¤©

(pedanticism alert; its only a tiny typo but fwiw its Murphey with an "-ey")

a "7".
