Selling for $2: https://store.acousticsounds.com/d/16517/Maurice_Abravanel-Berlioz_Requiem-HDAD_2496_24192. The recording is selectively discrete - the score calls for offstage brass bands in one section and the quad mix envelops you when they're playing - otherwise the mix is ambient (to my mind this is the ideal for classical). There's also a few others on sale, in 2 or 3 channels: https://store.acousticsounds.com/index.cfm?get=results&genreid=10&CategoryID=6

Thanks for the heads up. Wow, picked up three titles at about $2 bucks each. Including shipping, brought my total order to $10.59 for all three.

Ordered! The Mahler SYMPHONY OF A THOUSAND sounds interesting, as well, but I splurged on the multi SACD of Nine Inch Nails instead :D

Good to see cheaper mailing prices for AS -- that price of ten bucks for anything hampered my business, for sure.

So called because you need about 1,000 people to perform it right - although you can do it with about 460 in a pinch.

A cartoon from the period suggests the contemporary attitude of some towards his symphonies.
