Made of figured Claro Walnut, i sent my case out to have this built. I bought 2 so i could choose which to keep, and offer this one here at cost. 180 plus shipping. I had it sent raw so i put my own finish on it, as the seller is doing high gloss. You can put gloss over this if you want, i personally like flat to low luster. I used Watco Danish oil, and have been painting and applying all sorts of finish for 25 years. I am a painter and paint contractor by trade, Quadraphile junkie by night. No, you cant have my QRX-999! ;) you will need your own metal grill, i painted mine black. The case is solid wood, and near identical in fit to the original. Its beaty out weighs any 1/16" barely noticable size discrepancy if you are SUPER anal. Ive had wood cases made for MANY receivers and amps over the years, the look of this on my 999 is among the best ive come up with. I see a wood that would look nice, and have cabinet guys make them. I chose the light/dark contrast of this wood to accentuate the black face of the 999 (painter thing i guess)
Anyway, 180.00 plus shipping if you want it. Pics are of it on my 999.
