Is this considered rare?

Yes, very! (y)

the 'unique to JSACD' titles are generally (Des'ree - Supernatural, Return To Forever - Romantic Warrior are among them) and Wham! is right up there with the super rare!

Let's see. Amazon lists this JSACD for $320 new and $150 used. And Amazon.De has it for 899 Euros new. That makes it rare alright!
A good SACD - especially if you are a Wham fan.

yesterday I stumbeled over these SACD's in my collection...prices in the Amazonas are extremly high and I found non of them in the bay..maybe I should give them a place in my safe

Two of my favorite Stereo SACD's from a great band - I would die to hear both in MCH (+ Laughing Stock) (both extremly rare and pricey)

Talk Talk - Spirit of eden

Talk Talk - The colour of spring

If the J-SACD of Wham! is considered rare, how about the J-SACD of "Gloria Estefan - Alma Caribena"?

The J-SACD is going for over $250 on Amazon.Com. So I'd say it's a rarity.
I have the Single Layer SACD of this from Sony U.S. Not as colorful as the J-SACD!

Wow! I always thought that this title was a Japan-only release.

No, it was a Single Layer Stereo SACD in the U.S. with the infamous Grey Cardboard cover.
Since the album art was in the square middle area of the grey cover it wasn't as bold and colorful as what you have on that SACD from Japan!

The first Audio Fidelity SACD release, The Zombies Greatest Hits features excellent transfers of songs like "She's Not There", "Tell Her No" and "Time of the Season" direct from the Original Analog Master Tapes. Compiled and Mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray with DSD Authoring by Lon Neumann of the Super Audio Center's Hollywood facility.

A classic SACD with excellent sound - worth grabbing. Prices for new copies start at $29 on eBay and $99 on Amazon.Com.

An excellent sounding Stereo SACD from Alison Krauss. This one is more in the easy listening zone than her other SACDs which clearly show her bluegrass roots.
Unfortunately, very hard to find and very expensive. Amazon shows a new copy going for $477 and used copies of the SACD starting at $185.
Grab a copy if you can find one for a reasonable price. A favorite here.

E Bay lists this at $150, and Amazon at $400 or more. So, if it's not rare, it is certainly pricey.

True. For Michael Jackson fans, it's a good thing that you can now buy the Stereo DSD Download of "Thriller" for only $24.98 from the Super HiRez web site !
It's been their Top Selling Download almost every week since it was released as a DSD Download from the Sony SACD Cutting Masters.

Here's one for fans of singer Jennifer Warnes. The Well features 12 songs sung by Warnes in excellent Stereo SACD sonics.

Well known as an audiophile favorite for years, it was released on both Vinyl LP and Hybrid Stereo SACD by Cisco Music.
Not as rare as some titles on this thread, you can find "The Well" for prices starting at $99 for a new SACD on eBay.

I could have bought The Well a few years ago at retail for $60 IIRC.
Was tempted until I listened to samples of the music online.
One of those albums that sounds great but would never get played again because the music bored me to tears.
Would have been a decent investment though.

That's why it always pays to check the samples of the music first. It may be your cup of tea - or not.
