Ok. Here's another one to tied people over. John Mayer's Heavier Things on Amazon. It says "shipping in 2-3 days", which means it may already be sold out, or not many left.

There's a couple similar deals on Amazon now (Room for Squares and Incubus) with similar status.

Thanks for the heads up. Yes, I've seen deals like this in the last year or so from Amazon. Low priced SACD titles followed by “sold out” and high prices from 3rd party vendors. Buying SACDs these days are almost like buying stock futures. As we already know, the record companies are out of touch with music fans and could easily do a few run’s of highly sought OOP DVD-A / SACD titles.

Here are more low priced titles:
Get Lifted [Hybrid SACD - DSD]
http://www.amazon.com/Get-Lifted-John-Legend/dp/B000C1YPY4

The Legend of Zorro [Hybrid SACD - DSD][Soundtrack]

Titanic [Hybrid SACD - DSD][Soundtrack]

Oh wow. I knew about the Get Lifted (saving it for another Sunday SACD deal :)). I've seen that price not only on Amazon, but a lot of other sites as well. But I'm surprised the titanic one isn't sold out already!

Here are 2 MC SACDs for $7.98 I picked up last year:

Switchfoot: The Beautiful Letdown [Hybrid SACD - DSD]
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000C4BATO/?tag=sacdinfocom-20

http://www.sa-cd.net/showtitle/3571

David Sanchez: Coral [Hybrid SACD - DSD]
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002JELCM/?tag=sacdinfocom-20

http://www.sa-cd.net/showtitle/2175

Another one for $7.98:
James Carter: Gardenias for Lady Day [Hybrid SACD - DSD]
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000TG9QA/?tag=sacdinfocom-20

http://www.sa-cd.net/showtitle/1517

This title is at full retail price at $18.98, but is one of those Sony "Stereo/MC SACD layer only" discs one could see becoming rare at some point. I wonder how many of these type of discs were returned to the store because they wouldn’t play in someone's regular CD player? :D

Amanda Marshall: Everybody's Got a Story [Super Audio CD - DSD]
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000068TOF/?tag=sacdinfocom-20

Super Fury Animals by Love Kraft. The serial number matches up with the UPC on this one. And it's a digipak.

Note: don't bother asking the seller if it has the SACD logo on it. There is none. I don't think (I'll have to check my copy at home) there is even a logo on the disk. Next to the stones SACD's it's probably one of the harder ones to identify and find. But you can confirm if it is the hybrid (gold disk surface), and the seller does indicate that it's 5.1.

No SACD logo on the digipak, the disc, or even in the booklet, but this is the one you're looking for:
Love Kraft (Limited Edition 5.1 Surround Sound SACD) by the Super Furry Animals (Epic Records UK 520501-6)
Amazon ASIN: B000AJIAX0
EAN: 5099752050161

I am the proud owner of the super furry animals SACD mentioned above, and i can confirm this disc doesn´t have evidence at all that it is a hybrid SACD, but once i put it in my player, i saw the beautiful four letters "SACD".
The surround mix is excellent, and the music is also excellent, i give it a 10, the mix is in the same fashion as the flaming lips DVD-A. My favorite track is the last track of the album: "Cabin fever", it has a lot of sounds coming from every speaker, and at the end of the song you could hear something like a music box (similar to the ones with a ballerina on top) with a sound extremely real. The track "Lazer Beam" is also superb. I could say the Super Furry Animals sound as a mix of Smashing Pumkins, Blur, Pink Floyd and Frank Zappa (IMHO), this disc is a great addition to my collection.

That's a great description of the music on this disc of "Super Fury Animals" by Love Kraft, er, I mean "Love Craft" by Super Fury Animals. :D If you can get this cheap, it's worth the money IMHO.

I had this problem with a seller who didn't know what he had. Turns out he had the digipack, so it was probably the SACD, but I bought it from another seller that knew. this is very unusual. Does anyone know why a releae would have no indication whatsoever that it is an SACD, let alone 5.1?

I put the furry animals up there with porcupine tree, lips, RPWL and maybe a couple others who knew exactly what they were doing with 5.1, and should have been a shining beacon for others to emulate.

maybe it can be revived.
For those that may not be familiar with the Furries, there are also two excellent discrete mix 5.1 DTS DVD Video titles which are companions to earlier albums, "Phantom Power" and Rings Around The World." Both are chock full of their typically quirky animations, videos, and alternative mixes. While fun to play with, navigating the menus can get a bit wearying after awhile. If you have the wherewithal, they can be easily converted to DVD Audio and voila! 2 more exceptional surround titles. Think Flaming Lips meet the Beach Boys via Wales. Highly recommended.

Good idea! I've had these for years and stopped listening long ago. I think I'll rip them and re-burn w/o menu and with only the DTS stream. I've done this with other discs and it's easier (for me anyways) than converting to DVD-A, and I still get a disc that auto plays with the stream I want to hear.

Yep - same for me, I enjoy watching music videos up to a point and then they begin to lose their flavor. Ripping the DTS stream to DVD A with autoplay allows me to enjoy surround that otherwise would lie dormant. Especically the Furry discs - cool visuals but navigating through all the menus is a bit tiresome.

This is the new 5.1 mix- same as the DVD-A. The UK quad mix is on the 2003 UK SACD. The US quad mix has yet to receive a digital reissue.

What a shame this one's been quad-blocked...maybe Sony Japan or D-V can still release it as they are international...

Thanks to all of you who recommended the Super Furry Animals SACD - I just scored a cheap copy through Amazon Marketplace and it is, indeed, a spectacular 5.1 mix. I always dismissed this band as another forgettable 90s Britpop band, but this is really good stuff made even better by surround.
