Hi forum members!

I'm new to this forum, but I wanted to let people know about a release I just put out today on Carrier Records.

https://jeffsnyder.bandcamp.com/album/sunspots

It's a solo experimental electronic music recording, created on a 1970s Buchla synthesizer at ElektronMusikStudion in Stockholm, using a custom-built analog keyboard/sequencer controller called the JD-1.

I've put it out as a stereo vinyl double LP, but it was originally created as a 4-channel quadraphonic mix, so I've also released it in quad format for download. Since it's relatively rare for people to have the equipment to play back surround formats, I was hoping some people in this forum might be interested, so they can listen to the album as it was intended.

When you purchase the digital download on Bandcamp, you receive a link to the surround mix, in several formats (DMLP/DTS/AC-3 ISO file, AC-3 file, and discrete wav files for each channel). The ISO file was encoded by Richard Ford.

The quad mix is somewhat unusual, as there is a lot of extreme hard-panning. The intention for a lot of the material is to create single point-sources for the different sounds, so often sounds are assigned to a single speaker rather than panned between them or arranged in a more subtle spatialization.

I hope some people here may enjoy the record!

If you are curious to read some reviews, here are a couple reviews of the stereo version:
