Those that were fans of the HBO series Deadwood (not, Ed Wood) will be happy to know there’s a movie coming.

Deadwood Movie

Great NEWS, Perp. Deadwood was one of HBO's crowning achievements!

While we're on the subject of revisionist Westerns [and NOT Ed Woods], I highly recommend the Criterion BD~V of Dead Man with Johnny Depp replete with a great score in lossless 2.0 [Surround] by Neil Young. This quirky as hell Jim Jarmusch production is one of my very favorite guilty pleasures....with a wonderful cameo by Iggy Pop in drag! https://i.pinimg.com/736x/e6/f1/d4/e6f1d40f2dd2e8c71763c53be670e648.jpg

Another current [2018] NETFLIX nail biter: The Ritual, wherein four Brits bittersweetly celebrating the loss of one of their friends who was the victim of a liquor store robbery gone awry, wander into the Swedish forests on a camping trip only to encounter untold HORRORS.

As usual, a top flight production with good use of the surrounds.

Highly Recommended.

Eeeek!

That sounds scary! But also good! I was in Sweden this time last week!

Thankfully managed to stick to the path, and beware of the moon!

Is it in actual surround or just stereo? I'd love to hear it in surround.

Went see Mission Impossible: Fallout yesterday. Really excellent film, great stunts, great sound. And in 3D it was almost up there with Avatar in terms of quality. Defo try and see it if you can...

And the best, Mr. Smithers, Mr Cruise does MOST of his own stunts! And according to Cher who was on a recent James Corden show, Cruise was the BEST lover she EVER had........which we can file under TOO MUCH INFORMATION [TMI]!

But as we ALL know, Mr. Smithers, there is no such thing as TMI! http://www.preoccupiedterritory.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Too-Much-Information.jpg

That’s probabably where he learnt how to run and jump over buildings so quickly! ‘Come back my top 5 lover! It’s in your kiss’.

Back from the movies with my son and his grandma. We watched Incredibles 2, nothing remarkable apart from the surround treatment when Jack Jack teleports to other dimension. The cinema did not have Atmos, but it really gave the impression that the baby was floating above you. Looking forward to getting it at home in Atmos and check this section again

Coming in October......just what Us "DUDES" always wanted: The BIG Lebowski in UHD 4K with the following accoutrements:

love the slow thumping deep bass 5.1 DTS-HD MA soundtrack from Shout Factory

I like movies that aren't afraid to be slow

Edit, and since I'm high af, I just noticed the (Shout Factory Collectors Edition) cover illustration was done by The Dude Designs (in the lower left hand side corner of the cover). nice! :)

also Rody's name in the movie is credited as "Nada", another nice JC touch.

Keep an eye out for JC's Christine (1983) 4K coming soon to a Home Theater near you. :)

when the Magazine Rack (remember those? lol) hands "Nada" change:
