Billy Joel - The Stranger (Sony SACD - Japan 7-inch package)

I got these REM releases:
- UP 25 deluxe edition,
- Automatic for the Peopla DVD-A (deluxe edition is very hard to get and the atmos mix is up on Apple Music, so I made do with a reasonably priced DVD-A),
- New Adventures in hi-fi 25 deluxe,

And:
Billy Joel's 52nd street 7" replica SACD (miraculously available through CDJapan during a week or so)
Eagle Hotel California SACD
PG's I/O bluray

Two acquisitions over the weekend, both at Amoeba Music in San Francisco:

• Mahler, Symphony No. 2 "Resurrection" (Maurice Abravanel/Utah Symphony), Silverline Classics 5.1 DVD-A, liicensed from Vanguard.
• Berlioz, Symphonie Fantastique (Paavo Jarvi/Cincinnatti Symphony), Telarc 5.1 SACD.

Eight bucks a piece!

Have not had a chance to listen to them yet. Piano Man (release date late Feb 2024) is preordered as well.

A sort of unusual pairing - Honeck's Mahler on SACD is getting harder to find, and one of Dave Hurwitz's videos impressed on me that I should get this - I only need the 4th now. Piano Man filled out the order nicely
