yeah me too!

I ended up with "obstructed view" tickets to see The Police a few years ago in Toronto; lo and behold, we were right behind the drummer!! I was only about 20 feet away: was phenominal to watch him work the kit & other percussion devices from that angle.

also good sightlines to Andy Summers & Sting, could see their stage setups from behind & above. We were really close, I could have hit them with a spitball

I guess we're getting off topic!

But have you seen this? it's quite good:

Wow. This seems awfully expensive for this release.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/324300572495
The original cost bwas $444 & came with an Involve/QS decoder to play the record. In response to many questions about putting this on optical medium or hi rez downloading, Suzanne made both the MP3 & discrete hi res FLAC files available for FREE DL'ing. The Ebay'er should rot in hell.

Well it is an OOP, small number of - Box Set!
The seller is probably someone on this forum; Turkey dude needs a generous basting ‘n roasting for the obvious greed fishing he’s doing. But hey, it’s a free country, let the market find that one uninformed poor old sod; and he can finally retire with his six pack of Bud and that Holy Grail SQ of Jim Nabors he’s always craved :)

I worked for a retina specialist for 25 years who made a very good income. If there's one thing I've learned it's not how much something costs it's how much can you afford to pay.

I missed those free downloads. Where can I find them?

I've listened to the album multiple times on Tidal, and I would like to get/purchase the hi-res files. But I wouldn't know how to convert those stereo files to quad without having to engage the AVR upmixing algorithm every time I listen to them. Is there a way to unfold the stereo-encoded quad mixes?

Thanks for the link, but I can do that with my Denon AVR. It plays Ciani beautifully in quad from Tidal stereo plus AVR surround decoder. Perhaps, it's not exactly the same, but it is good enough. I was wondering if there's a software I can use to do the same and safe the file as a Flac 4.0, so I won't need a decoder. I purchased the last Ciani's live improvisation and is available as a 4.0 file.

Glad to hear that. Just note that the record was in fact recorded in Involve stereo /surround format
