This is the reason I bought Lotus, in hopes of encouraging more.

I wish those of you who weren't there could glean some small inkling of what it was like when this album hit the racks 41 years ago this month.
As if it came from another planet, such a unique sound.
Presented with the full weight of Columbia Records and Bill Graham Productions behind it, it moved up the charts that autumn, then blew up the next summer when the Woodstock movie came out.
