OMG!!!! There is someone else who owns "The Ship"?!?!?!? I have never met anyone who has even heard of this title. I think I'm overdue pulling this one out again.One of my very favorite 'nautical' albums from 1972 originally on the Elektra Label

Unfortunately, there is nothing left at Amazon, their other site they used dropped them and CDBaby is no longer selling CDs. I used to love that site. It looks like I'm going to have to rip the album.The band put out some other albums, too--and reissued A Contemporary Folk Music Journey in 2013.

I agree, not a ditty. But definitely what I would think of as a shanty.Issues -yeah?...
Not exactly a ditty, but man this would be great in surround too; love the sound he gets on his guitar around 2:38.
The art form reached it's zenith with moving performances by Rambling Syd Rumpo -
