4-channel 'balancers'

Hi All,

Does anyone know if the Technics SH-1010 is electronically identical to the Panasonic RD-9775 4-channel balancer ?
Both look very similar on picture. Also the connector seems to be identical (5-pins).
I found the RD-9775 for sale and was wondering if I could connect it to my Technics SA-8000x quad receiver where in the manual only the SH-1010 is mentioned.
