The only JA quad on Grunt was Bark. The other 2 were on RCA. Bark would be great, as the stereo version is mostly virtual mono, while the quad has full separation.
from the hints earlier on it sounded like maybe we're getting a Hot Tuna or Jefferson Starship Quadio sometime rather than Jefferson Airplane? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nice interview Snood. Thanks for sharing.

Gratifying that RHINO did extremely well with both the Chicago and Doobies Quadio box sets and even more gratifying that they intend to release upcoming QUADIO titles on a regular basis insinuating that blu rays are a lot cheaper to mass produce than custom vinyl.

Very koo! What do we know about Patrick Milligan? And does this mean that Kevin Gray is gonna master the Quadio Blu-Rays from here on out, too? That would be great, especially given the qualms that some of us had--in spite of our overwhelming gratitude, otherwise--about the mastering of the Chicago and Doobies boxes. And if it's the "Audiophile" market that they're going after from here on out, then maybe they'll also get some self-styled quadiophiles to do a little QC...?

Edit/PS: Milligan came (back) to Rhino in his current position in late 2018, and among other things he's responsible for the Joni Mitchell Archives project. Seems like somebody who cares about the music.

Fantastic insight.
Although even more fascinating was the hints about how Rhino plan to issue these quads over the coming months/years. Well hopefully they do, that is, fingers crossed 🤞

Like the heavy plug for Black Sabbath.

They were biting their lips, desperately trying not to let slip any news prior to the official release date...

If they ever came on QQ they wouldn't get enough time left to carry out this quad venture...as we would bombard them with a zillion questions!!

I wouldn't mind seeing all the David Gates & Bread discs given the Quadio treatment

There was supposedly a “Bread Greatest Hits Vol. 2” Quad that was never released. Assuming that the Quad mix was completed and still exists, perhaps this title might be a candidate for release.

Jimi Hendrix’s “Crash Landing” unreleased Quad, assuming it exists, would be something to hear. Even if it’s just an historical curiosity, better to have it than not. Despite the release’s controversy at the time, it sold well. According to Wikipedia:

“The album peaked at numbers five in the US and 35 in the UK, the highest chart positions since The Cry of Love. The album reached number 5 in Canada, and was number 38 in the year-end chart.“

Great post Snood of that Audiophile discussion. We even heard our ForagingRhino's name brought up once by Kevin Gray. I liked the part where they said "Well, it's been leaked on the forums already so I suppose I can mention it" regarding the Quadio's!! Very cool.

Now we just have to continue our waiting period. But to know that there are more and more coming, well, that's awesome
