Some albums sound really 'discrete' and you can pick out different instrument placements, others seem to be quite immersive.

BTW I think a lot will depend on the cars audio system and how it distributes the channels. I had a bit of fun' getting a sensible configuration for the focal point with the B&O system in the Audi. I eventually moved the focus to along the centre line of the car, middle of the rear seats, otherwise everything was very much in the front speakers and I had difficulty identifying instrument positions.

Vehicle: Audi 2021 A5 - B&O 3D/surround

Lee Ritenour - 6 String Theory (5.1) - this came out very discrete, I could easily identify the instrument positions
Donald Fagen - Morph The Cat (5.1) - this came out, as some tracks discrete, some immersive
Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon (5.1) - this was much more immersive, even the effects seemed a bit 'smeared' rather than discrete
