Dynaco "4 Dimensional Sound Demonstration" (Dynaco Records D-400)

Spoken Introduction
Sound effects (rain, wind chimes, thunder)
Unidentified instrumental music (sound effects continue)
Excerpt from “The Seven Last Words of Christ” (Dubois) Earl Ness, Conductor and Organist Philadelphia
Oratorio Choir, from 1962
I’m Gotta Make you Love Me – Steam (different mix from Steam's album)

Same program on side 2

My copy came with a 4-page photocopied document "Questions & Answers On the Dynaco Four-Dimensional system" tucked inside.

J. D.
I just got a copy of this, my copy didn't have the photocopied document tucked inside. Is that where you got the track list from, or did you figure it out for yourself? Steam, I knew that last track was familiar, just couldn't think of it. I wanted to list this record on Discogs, not for sale but as a part of my collection and would like to use your track list if that's OK. The record decodes nice via QS but it's a bit of a lame excuse to say that both sides are the same so that if your wear one side out you can still play the other!

The band you're thinking about is Lighthouse, and they're Canadian, not German. Interfusion released a quad compilation album, only in Australia and New Zealand, that features their track "One Fine Morning", which does have a BS&T, Chicago-like sound and was a hit for them in the 70's. The album was encoded in EV Stereo-4, compatible with QS, and it's a great track. The American version of the album, sold through Olsen Electronics, left that track out.
Lighthouse has another track "Hats Off To The Stranger" on "Musical Sampler" on Evolution. Both tracks were from the "One Fine Morning" LP too bad the entire album wasn't released in Quad.

I was able to find it listed on Discogs, but no real track list shown.

I pulled out my copy of the album and...I have no idea where I got the track listing! It's not in the 4-page insert. There is an announcer who introduces "The Seven Last Words of Christ” so I might have picked up that information from him. But how I would know that the song by Steam is a different mix than on their album is forgotten by me. Maybe I found this info somewhere on the web?

I won't add the track information to the Discogs entry then, but I'll copy the track list and put it inside the album for my own information.
Thanks

Those Ford Motor compilations on Q8 - these usually came with a Lincoln Continental. Some listed in Mark Anderson's quad discography are listed as double packages, but I believe these were split formats, the first tape being stereo and the second being quad, I've only ever found the second tape of the two in my quad searches, and the prefixes on these are always DAT2 instead of DAT1,as they're listed. Here then are what I have:

These tapes are generally inexpensive and lengthy, making them perfect for creating Q8 versions of my 7inch 1800 ft Quad reels running at 7.5 ips.

Saw this one on eBay recently:

ST-12 - PIONEER 4 CHANNEL STEREO AUDITION TAPE

It appears to be another version of a tape already in the quad anthology/sampler discography:

APOLLON MUSIC INUSTRIAL CORP.
PIONEER 4 Channel Stereo Audition Tape. ST-16 (Q8) [Japan]
