Unfortunately, the enhanced protection window shrinks with each successive identical booster. It was roughly 20 weeks for the second shot, 10 for the third (booster), and likely less for the fourth (second booster). As we move toward endemicity in the Global North, what we need are new vaccines and schedules akin to the yearly flu vaccine. But more importantly, we need to put all effort into vaccinating the Global South to bring them to endemicity.
