I have a 2017 Audi A3 with the Bang and Olufsen MMI system, and I’ve noticed for a while that the sound is a little ”off” when listening to quadraphonic (4.0) FLAC encoded material, so I did a little testing. I used as 4.0 test file, and sure enough, nothing comes out of the back right speaker when playing a 4.0 FLAC file.
This problem does not seem to happen when playing 5.0 or 5.1 encoded FLAC files, so I did a little experiment: I opened one of my quad FLAC files in ocenaudio and inserted a completely silent center track to convert it to 5.0, and now it plays back perfectly!
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
