Starting today and for the rest of 2021, Bandcamp has revived "Bandcamp Fridays." On the first Friday of the month, Bandcamp will waive its cut of sales receipts, which means that 93% (on average) of what you pay for merch or downloads will go to the artist and/or the artist's label.

Radio Collage (Single), by dvdmovies123 made by me, every channel is completely different. starts with a noisy part with 5 different types of radio static fading in to each channel then cuts to a bunch of recordings from my radio. you will have to mix all 6 channels into a 5.1 audio file. turn down the rears by 3db because i forgot to

Bandcamp is a pretty good app for creating music, but I like the benefits of Reaper. I know it's not the most common platform for this, but I spent my whole childhood learning how to make music here and managed to get pretty good results. Now I am on the lookout for music promotion because I have a few files that listeners can appreciate. I'm sure this is good content that the world will love, so I plan to spread this sound around the planet. Know what I mean?

Very cool!

I saw this through one of the links, is this track on the album too? I like the outdoor performance concept

Cool you found it, I plan to record this patch as a long form, to make it an album. I don’t think I will record it outside, it is a bit more difficult to control the sound there. So this is upcoming work. I need to do this record before the end of March. It will take a bit of time to get it out, but it will be first to my Bandcamp Subscribers.

@popshop may not want to blow his own horn (sorry if I'm stealing your thunder, Ian!), but he's just made all of his excellent 5.1 Eolian mixes easier to find and buy on Bandcamp:

As Bandcamp Friday if anyone doesn't have these, What are you waiting for.
Ian has done such a great job on these mixes.
Most artists would give you 10 songs at this price.
Here you get over 60 songs of SURROUND music.

Fans of "New Music" (contemporary classical/crossover/electronic/etc.): I've recently discovered that the Starkland label has several of its back-catalogue 5.1 DVDs for sale via its Bandcamp site, including Bang On a Can composer Phil Kline's Around the World in a Daze and the late minimalist composer Ingram Marshall's Alcatraz:

For a while, I've been listening to the works of Aleksi Perälä, an electronic/IDM artist who puts out an album damn near every week where each album isn't in traditional music scales, but one of his own devising... The Colundi Sequence. I mostly listen on Apple Music as everything is there, and it's presented in 24 bit 192 kHz, which is apparently what causes the tuning to have a "healing effect"... according to the artist.

Browsing the IDM forum We Are The Music Makers, I hear that the "The Colundi Sequence 17.5" album was part of a box set that had a Blu Ray with a 5.1 mix! As with most obscure IDM on physical formats, its sold out and goes for $$$ second hand, but I just shot a message through the bandcamp "send a message" form, and asked if he could put them up somewhere. I'll let people know if he does.
