Question - I understand that this was EV encoded I believe..the origianal gatefold jacket says something to the effect of being "Mixed for stereo, mono, compatible. Quad." It's very obtuse on what exactly it is. The only CD version I have seen advertised is for the 2000 double disc along with Holland. Anyone very familiar with the album and the mix and can say if the CD release is the only one available and if it retains the original encoded mix?
Just saw Brian in Philadelphia Saturday night and he played a few 70's era songs like Sail on Sailor... and Marcella from this album. Both were powerfully performed and highlights for me. His new LP performance was great also. He had a few vocal miscues with some of the older stuff (like "All Summer Long") but it looked like being bored with that material more than anything else.
