CHUCKY IS AT IT AGAIN-------HEART ATTACK AND STROKE!!

It all came to crunch last Thursday when I was at my work desk and I started to feel a dead center mild chest pain and thought Hmmmm that's not good for a 64 year old. After some encouragement from my workmates I drove to Frankston hospital and endured hours of their emergency department entrance. Initial tests were borderline and so I needed to have an angiogram the next day to see if my cardiac arteries were blocked. Next day I was on the slab and they put the tubes into my heart and did their thing and found NO BLOCKAGES!! All was well, then someone asked me a question and all I could do was mumble and slur, in addition the right hand side of my face had dropped and was partially paralised. I had had a stroke caused by the procedure - this happens in 1 in 700 cases. I drew the lucky straw. Next thing you know the emergency stroke department whizzed me off for a brain CAT scan and sure enough they found a clot in the brain and given the position they could not fish it out.

Over the next hour my speech improved and so did my face but then it went much worse and I could hardly get a mumble out yet I knew what to say, it was distressing stuff. They had a very powerful new clot drug that could improve the outcome in 75% of cases but it also could have made it much worse and cause paralysis on my right hand side but I only had another 15 minutes to make the decision as there is a time window when they can use this drug after the event. I decided to "crash through or crash" and went for it. After only a few minutes, my voice started to improve and so did my face, within an hour Chucky was back. I have attached a video taken at my hospital bed as evidence, if I look shabby- its hospital. I sent it to an old high school friend of mine her name was Desma.

They kept me in for a few more days of investigation on my ticker and did a bunch of other tests and turned me into a human pin cushion. The conclusion was there was no damage to my heart, no blocked arteries, no valve issues, no structural issues, no nothing!!! Also they have found zero brain damage. Usually the super clot busting drug does not work to 100% as it did with me- just lucky I guess. On the plus side it is very typical that old farts like me have some degree of coronary artery buildup and its been a back of my thoughts worry for years, turns out I can now eat all the Kransky sausages, pizzas, fish and chips as I want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It turns out I am in a mystery catagory of micro heart attack of either being coronary artery oscillation reducing the flow- not blockage or a micro burst of a vein not artery and is similar to a cut finger, both will not kill you.

I am back home again. Worst thing is that I am not allowed to drive for a month, so people will have to lug me around and do some working from home occasionally

Oh all this cost me zero, its terrible down here in the socialist workers paradise of Australia with this oppressive socialized medicine comrades.

I am hard to kill
Chucky, Glad to hear that you are ok Get well soon.

All good, Looks like the heat attack was a false mini heart attack and they are working on the theory that my blood test just naturally reads funny as all tests on the ticker are only unusual that for a jumbo sized 64 year old my pipes and valves are all 100%.

The stroke was real in every way but totally cleared by the mega blood thinning goo. What was unusual is that zero damage other than previous big hits to the head was found.

I am back!

DEMOCRACY SAUSAGE TIME

Hey comrades its election time in deep dark Australia and its pure hell at the polling booths, we had to Queue up for at least zero minutes, do our bit for democracy and buy a $2.50 "democracy sausage". The entrance to the voting area is off to the right......that's not a queue, that's the party pamphlet hander outerers. Every primary school becomes a polling station, its really a pleasant community gathering.

I guess us backward Aussies have a lot to learn from the USA!

Sorry for the crap photo. The "Coombes " candidate was a twice "survivor " contestant- so sad.

The skinny blond 68 year old dead center is my wife Rosemary

As an Involve customer; what I really want to see them tackle is an Involve CD-4 demodulator with De-Click/Crackle functions.

I realize the market is severely limited to this use, so maybe a device with another function to bundle it with, that would be utilized more... Like maybe a Super Surround Master! 😄

and Yes, I'd pay a premium for that, if... if it worked as brilliantly as the SM.

So then... at a polling location you have political flyers being distributed? And do I see pictures of the candidates to the right of Rosemary? In the US of A none of that would be allowed. And what is the deal with buying a democracy sausage? Is that something that benefits a political campaign?

There's lot you don't want to learn from us but we are pretty strict about keeping influences away from voting locations.

Hey Sonik

It all to do with the radius around the polling station, posters and hand out people are not permitted to a certain radius (cannot remember what). Likewise political candidates. The democracy sausage is totally non political and is usually arranged by scouts or charities etc. In my picture there were no political candidates around. Its rather friendly and no one gets angry.

The democracy sausage is a recent tradition and benefits your early morning appetite.

The longest I have ever had to queue was 1 minute, I hate queue's and will usually go elsewhere if I see one! Australia has over 90% voting participation rate and making it easy is one of the reasons.

Sad Morning at the Chucky household.

Little Gringo El Max is off to start our Involve/ Zenaji office in Mexico somewhere to be determined. He will spend a month or two working out the best position preferably related to an industrial zone so he can continue leading our mechanical design team remotely. Also our electronic engineer Kali Wong is already there.

Here is a bare foot photo of Max taken this morning with my wife Rosemary (she is actually normal height and not a midget) looking a bit rough in the morning! I will pass on his address for any one wanting a visit when I know what it is. Note the dog- its a Brazilian terrier.

Handsome son -- must take after the father, right? lol

Those kids are worth showing off. The Mrs. too.
Actually the Mrs is 4 years older than me and is a cradle snatcher at 68 years old. When I met her at the age of 22 and she was 26, I thought she was younger than me and she thought I was older than her. I did not work it out for another 4 years, then I was shocked. That photo was a just woke up morning shot in her track pants sloppies. She is actually very skinny, Dave the Bitch once remarked to me - "does that woman ever eat". Despite having a myriad of every known rare disease including rheumatic fever twice, polio, viral meningitis and medically acquired hepatitis C (cured after 30 years with interferon / ribavirin), 4 failed lower back operations she recently tested as having a physical age of 42. She swims 3 klm a day.

Here are two very recent pictures:

I prostitute my body frequently for medical studies. (At Washington University Medical Center.) You actually can pocket quite a bit of change and find out all kinds of things you wouldn't know otherwise, often things you would prefer to not know or at least prefer they were not there. Also sometimes the news is good.

One of the studies, they put me in a functional MRI scanner with long equalized plastic tube earphones and tested my hearing without me having to do anything. It was five years ago and my hearing was better than the average for male old geezers. That was a pleasant result. They were trying to improve the software of cochlear implants.
