Hi. All

There was a BIG Auction going on at ....Jauce Auction site...it was a factory sealed Quad reel to reel of (Imagine John Lennon) I was biding but my budget was only $500.00. Some lucky punter got it for 226,555yen. That`s about $1,952 US.

Wow. That seems like an incredible premium...but I have no idea on the market value. Is that a crazy amount?

For series collector's probably not, seeing its an item that was only released in Japan and was not available anywhere else in the world and being factory sealed new, the only other copies other than a Quad 8 track a SQ LP was available to the western countries
BBQ...

There's a thing that looks weird. That kind of Agfa tape boxes looks late seventies. The round design below the "Agfa Professional" writing is not something i'm expecting from a 1972 agfa tape.

EDIT: on that page

http://vintagecassettes.com/agfa/agfa_files/eagfa75.htm
is the first use i did remember of that round design on cassette, which is at least 1975. Don't think that the pro tape used that round design three years before

Well, since it is a safety copy it could have been done later, but it could also be a complete sham. Who knows?
