In a recent filmed interview, Bob Clearmountain not only briefly discussed the Marley surround remix, but he also said he did a surround remix of the "Reckless" album by Bryan Adams!

Plus Wikipedia says this:
In April 2014, it was announced that a 30th Anniversary edition of the album, featuring previously unreleased material, will be released on 8 September 2014.

Fingers crossed! :)

That happens at 35:25 of the interview. Not only did Clearmountain say that he did the mix a few years ago but he also said it was just coming out too (referring to the Marley mix) pretty soon.

Crikey.. another one seemingly coming out of nowhere.. I have more faith in HFPA/BD-A now Universal in the U.S. are involved, all of a sudden there's a palpable leap in quality (and inclusion of surround). Thanks for the info RT, wavelength.

They should sign Bob Clearmountain to an exclusive contract and let him put out some great surround mixes. If a guy like SH can get steady work, why not someone like Bob? Give credit to HFPA?BD for "learning", maybe they have a better "creative team" than another label:spot

Bob also states in the interview that because of the way he has his mixing board setup, he can do stereo and surround mixes simultaneously, so he actually has a surround mix of everything that he has mixed from essentially the last decade. How about that?! :)
