Recently landed on my doormat was this little item I had completely forgotten all about ordering.
Please post your thoughts, comments & observations.
Sadly no DTS or even LPCM, just Dolby Digital.

'The Bete Noir Tour', is a stunning collection of beautifully filmed performances from a number of venues during the 'Bête Noire' European Tour of 1988 and 1989

This classic Bryan Ferry live concert film has now been remixed into 5.1 surround sound for it's long awaited debut on DVD. New Town is a stunning live record of an artist at the height of his powers.

Also included on the package is the previously unavailable 'Konixxtreffen 2002' Concert. This sees Ferry showcase many of his classic solo and Roxy Music hits.

Original New Town Concert:

1. Limbo
2. The Chosen One
3. Casanova
4. Slave To Love
5. The Bogus Man
6. Ladytron
7. While My Heart Is Still Beating
8. Don't Stop The Dance
9. A Waste Land
10. Windswept
11. In Every Dream Home A Heartache
12. New Town
13. Boys And Girls
14. Kiss And Tell
15. Love Is The Drug
16. Avalon
17. Do The Strand

Konixxtreffen 2002 Concert - Previously unreleased:

1. The Thrill Of It All
2. It's All Over Now, Baby Blue
3. Can't Let Go
4. Oh Yeah! (On The Radio)
5. My Only Love
6. Both Ends Burning
7. Don't Think Twice It's Alright
8. Limbo
9. Slave To Love
10. Virginia Plain
11. Jealous Guy
12. Let's Stick Together
13. Love Is The Drug
14. Do The Strand

Given the regard people have for the Avalon (and Boys and Girls) sacd, I have to assume people won't bother to comment on terrible surround discs. For the record:
2nd concert has no surround at all. 1st is Dolby Digital only and iit gets worse. DD mix is not only ambient, but likely the lowest volume rear channels I have heard.
2nd show had better sound quality and better performances (with possible exception of bassist on earlier show). Decent synth surround with vario-matrix.

Avalon was my favorite album in the late 80's so I bought Bete Noire album as soon as I found it. This live show doesn't capture the feel of the album for me, sound quality not great either, but the disc was cheap so ok as a momento.
I'll vote 5 purely for the music. "Surround" gets a zero.
