Could Atlantic Records have released a Ray Charles Quad album in the 70's?

Atlantic Records was one one of the first labels to acquire an 8 track deck in the late 50's. Some of Ray Charles' sessions were recorded with it and the company boasted about this when releasing this 1964 compilation.

This makes me wonder if this album or the sessions it was put together from could have been mixed for a Quad release. I think that could have been quite a release for Soul music fans. Some early Quad titles were mixed from 3 track and 4 track masters so I can only imagine what this one could have sounded like. maybe the fact that Ray left the label means that such a project was unlikely to happen. I'm still thinking it was a lost opportunity.

Not sure why, but a lot of the higher-profile Atlantic artists of the time never got quad releases - Led Zeppelin, CSN(Y), Yes, etc. You'd think that stuff probably would've sold better than the Modern Jazz Quartet or Herbie Mann.
