I own most of these (bought from ebay because they are Not for Resale but First Sale Doctrine law supersedes that) and they have some pretty outstanding 7.1 mixes.

many were only officially released as 5.1 on their respectful albums but somehow were released as 7.1 on these discs

These are the most outstanding mixes I have ever heard of these songs:

for instance

Dave Stewart's Every Single Night is probably the one of the most creative use of surround sound I have ever heard in a song/music video. I was hoping that the entire album would have been available in DTS, but I guess that was too much to ask.

The drumbeat sound going around in a circle totally puts you in the music video.

This is one of the best demo's out there showing what surround sound music can achieve.

Nigel Stanford's Cymatics is also incredible and may even be at the top of my list as far as being able to wow people. Electronic music with crazy bass and separation is just off the charts.

The drumbeat going around in a circle around the room is incredible.

That's actually what gave me the impetus to create this thread.

I was listening to Every Single Night in 7.1 (while I created this thread) and thought, this needs to be heard by everyone.

Have you tried ripping the audio from these in respect of the music tracks? I have opened the disc in audio muxer as what mkv stated there was no encryption but then you get a list a mile long of files on the disc despite there not being that much on there! Was hoping to simply rip the music tracks to incorporate in my collection.
