Depeche Mode has released a DVD of their most recent tour in support of the "Exciter" album. Once again they are working with Anton Corbijn, and the result is another lush, beautiful, live spectacle from the DM camp. It is recorded in Dolby Digital 5.1, and the sound quality is excellent, an fully involved surround mix by Steve Fitzmaurice done at Astoria studios. It is a 2 disc set, Disc 1 contains the concert, Disc 2 has loads of special features. All in all, a very satifiying release; a selection of songs from "Exciter" including two standout tracks, "The Dead of Night" and "Freelove", and a mix of older favorites like "Personal Jesus", "Enjoy the Silence", and "Walking in my Shoes". Another treat is "Black Celebration", a cut that hearkens back to their early new wave roots. For the DM enthusiast, "One Night in Paris" is not to be missed.
