Yeah, I gotta 'fess up, it's not my joke. Can't remember where I stole it from, tho. Too appropriate not to use in this situation...

I am in the USA and I want to import this, anyone have any experience with imported DVD-A. I have asked the maker of my DVD-A player panasonic and they made it sound like it would work fine, they said it would even convert the still images from PAL to NTSC, I want to beleive them, but it is pretty costly to import this to find out it won't work.

Thanks, oh and please take it easy on me, first post and all.

Try jpc.de they ship worldwide. They have also the latest Iron Maiden listed (for march 22 EMI) and since a few days another nuclear blast release from Edguy titled 'Hellfire club'.

If those are interresting too it will save you shipping costs.

You can order directly from nuclear blast records.

I was trying to get a shpping rate from jpc but I never got a reply, I am planning on buying the Iron Maiden and the Dimmu Borgir from Nuclear Blast, I didn't hear about the Edguy release, I did hear about a Children of Bodom DVD-A coming out soon. I might just buy all 4 when available from Nuclear Blast.

Chances are that they don't sell the Iron Maiden.

You can pre-order Iron Maiden (not released yet) at http:\\www.play.com (free shipping& handling) http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=DVDA&title=138608

This is one intense DVD A!

Fronts are very compressed unfortunately. Great 5.1 mixes with rears used throughout. Damn shame it is a victim of the loudness wars. Stupid engineer!

Heavy metal surround mixes are few and far between. This one is not bad at all - the 5.1 discrete mix is far less compressed than the CD. I would put this on par with the DVD-audio multichannel mix of Metallica's Black Album. Norwegian Death Metal - just the prescription for these apocalyptic times!
