I'm a newbie to this topic, so please be kind if this question has already been answered. I have a ripped DVD movie encoded with only a DTS soundtrack. I would like to convert this DVD movie to one with a Dolby Digital soundtrack. Are there any softwares that will allow me to do this?

Thanks in advance for your help and for taking the time to read this.

It can be done but it's a long process. First off, do you have the 6 mono files from thr DTS soundtrack? If so, then you're in good shape.

You need a DD encoder (or AC-3 Encoder) to re-encode the 6 mono files into a DD file, then a DVD creation program to make the DVD.

Are you trying to do an audio only disc or a full DVD-Video? If it's the video, then I am out of my league. Others should chime in here......

Thank you for your reply, JonUrban. I am trying to do a full DVD-video.

Hmm, I was kinder thinking the same thing only, is it possible to transfer a Dolby Digital laserdisc to DVD with the Dolby digital 5.1 soundtrack intact?
