Dual Disc ELP: Isle of Wight Disc

Howdy: Can anyone with this disc say what it is encoded in? The case has the Dolby Digital logo and no DTS logo, but the description states that it is a 5.1 DTS recording. Still working on my equipment setup so I can't verify it myself at the moment. Thanks. John

What's the sound quality like on this?

Sound is just good; clear but with light "age traces". I like it. Surround is no more than artificial echo / dsp soundfield similar to DPLII. OK for DVD.

After getting the equipment up and having listened to several other releases acquired in the last couple of weeks (like Steve Miller FLAE, Pulse, REM, etc.), I'd have to agree with Mr. Ferret. The surround is pretty weak, but I like the band and look forward to that DVD-A of Brain Salad Surgery, so its a keeper for historical purposes. The interviews are ...humorous, I never knew that Keith Emerson was trapped on the stage by his cast iron reinforced Moog. John S.

Understood, but it will be completely new to me, not the album of course, can't stop calling them that. John
