The folks at Engadget are asking their readers what do most Home Theater fans prefer for an upcoming Stereo to Surround Sound Processor:
a processor with a lower price and cheaper cable in the box or a higher price and a better cable in the box ?

It is a marketing decision that demands more rigorous research than an open survey on the web. Clearly, many will prefer any cable since they may not have one and, since cheapness is a major theme here, will not need to buy one. I cannot imagine, with inexpensive cables abounding, that its inclusion or exclusion, would significantly affect a purchase decision.
