Has this ever been digitized? Would love to hear it! I read somewhere that this was a clever remix of the 3 channel master of the times. It is listed in the quadraphonic directory under Original Cast recordings.

I picked up the Q8 recently and it is indeed a clever mix. It's mixed as if you are standing on the stage, with the actors all around and the pit behind you. You'd never know it's from a three track source.

"Matchmaker, Matchmaker" (call-and-response vocals alternate between the rear channels):

"If I Were A Rich Man" (Zero Mostel's voice audibly walks back and forth between the front channels):

This auction is still up, along with https://www.ebay.com/itm/GEORGE-ROC...412450?hash=item1ca80b88a2:g:mLMAAOSwFm5a0qRz - which it seems was never actually released according to the quad discography (http://www.surrounddiscography.com/quaddisc/quadnot.htm). I'd consider buying if someone could handle the digital transfer - a little more than I'd like to pay, but the reels seem pretty rare.

Didn't @Bob Romano do a conversion of this from QR? I'm on the road & away from my music, but my notes say that while it's not hugely discrete, it's still full and rich, with a few "directional" elements. I kind of like the piece.
