I'll be honest, I have not seen CODA yet; neither am I sure I ever will. I struggle with revisionism in film. Redoing scenes post production due to technology improvements is one thing, Guido shooting first is another.

Heck, if The Digital Bits is confused, what chance do I have.
https://thedigitalbits.com/columns/my-two-cents/011322-1000It sounds like III has pretty much every version included so that is nice.
I believe I will be going with the swagless edition so I can get A Fistful of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More, Highlander, From Dusk To Dawn and Constantine when they hit 4k this year.
All I need after that is The Crow and all intersections of Kurosawa/Mifune. (dream big)

While still not on par with Coppola's greater epics, I did enjoy his 'revisionist' cut of The Cotton Club Encore! IMO, it flowed better and by extending the wonderful musical numbers lovingly orchestrated by Mercer Ellington and excising a bit of extraneous footage, Coppola succeeded in creating a tighter more organic restoration. And the color timing and skillful remaster on the BD~V certainly eclipses the dull original on DVD ....as it SHOULD!

An oft overlooked gem from Francis Ford Coppola is his 2009 Film TETRO starring Vincent Gallo, Alden Ehrenhreich and Maribel Verdú. Gorgeously shot in Black and White, it details the search of one brother for his missing sibling in Argentina and the painful revelations which follow. Beautifully acted, skillfully directed, IMO, it's one of those rare films well worth seeking out!

What do you do when you receive a large amount of Amazon gift cards for your B~Day and Christmas. Why run out and order current flicks like DUNE in 3D!

Well, perusing You Tube's 3D reviews of DUNE, here is one which is pretty decent.....although the You Tube 3D reviews generally pointed out to an alarming neglect on the part of the 3D theaters in question's need to replace those projection bulbs [as bulbs get older, they do get dimmer].

DUNE [2021]in 3D reviews?

This week's turning into a bit of a Luc Besson week:

Leon - Extended Version (1994) 4K:
1. Despite having the extended cut on the previous BD and on 4K for a few years now, I only just watched it for the first time last night and the extra scenes were great, tying up other scenes nicely. It took things up to the borderline in regards to certain relationships (which is why I'd avoided it so long) but didn't ruin anything. I think I'll be watching this cut from now on.
2. Surround mix is pretty decent with discrete surround scenes. Lows are spectacular from the score and sound design. Had to drop the sub a few dB from it's usual position.
3. https://www.amazon.com/Leon-Profess...qid=1642537346&sprefix=leon+4k,aps,271&sr=8-1

The Big Blue - Director's Cut (1987) BD:
1. Only stereo but the receiver made a decent surround up-mix out of it.
2. Such a cool flick.
3. https://www.amazon.com/Big-Blue-Blu...9&sprefix=the+big+blue+blu+ray,aps,264&sr=8-1

Subway (1985) BD:
Dual mono but another Luc Besson gem with great music, humour and Isabelle Adjani: https://www.amazon.com/Subway-Blu-r...2537544&sprefix=subway+blu+ray,aps,263&sr=8-2

ALL EXCELLENT FLICKS. Wish they'd do NATIVE UHD4K reissues of THE BIG BLUE [A REAL FAV] and SUBWAY.
