Can anyone tell me why I get an "unsupported file type" error for some of my .flac music files but the majority of them will play in my Acura? Seems odd, I can't see any difference when comparing the .flac files that do play to the ones that do not.

Thanks

Usually the issue is that the FLAC file was not created using Level 0 compression. Also, I believe the maximum supported kHz is 48. Therefore, the files should 16 bit or 24 bit at 48kHz.

One thing I noticed for multichannel FLACs (I don’t playback any stereo FLACs on my ELS system) is that 44.1 kHz files do not work.

I have no experience with car systems, but I've occasionally run into trouble with files that were not created by the official FLAC software.

For example, if I buy a FLAC album from Qobuz, attempting to open a file in Adobe Audition 3 with the FLAC plugin will crash Audition. If I re-encode it using official FLAC, it works just fine.
