I had just heard and was about to post it. I've been a fan since the early 70's.

Caught Kraftwerk live at the Riv(iera) in Chicago. Musically superb and visually head & shoulders over any other concert I've been to. My son was with. They are also one of his favorites.

Listening to 1974's Autobahn takes me back to the nice carefree summer of 1975 when I bought it, I still have the original cassette on the shelf.

Really glad I went to see them in '81 on the Computer World tour - great show.

You know, now that you mention it, there would have been a good reason to do that. Back in the 1970s, the then-incarnation of that station used the opening seven notes for...something. At least I think they did. Somebody did. Crap. This is gonna drive me nuts now. I just remember that the first time I ever heard the actual song I had one of those "Oh, so that's where that came from!" moments.

But I went with "Radioactivity" because the whole thing appears to be wordplay in both German and English with references to both Geiger counters and broadcasting.
