I found an AT 15SA body on a thrft store turntable years ago. Of course the stylus was missing/broken. At the time, I didn't realize this was a high end quad cartridge. On checking into this cart, the AT 15sa and AT 20sa are the same, but the 20's were hand chosen for superior specs. Has anyone had success with a new stylus from the internet that worked with this cartridge for cd-4 playback ?

Do you mean an aftermarket stylus? If so and if it has a Shibata or equivalent stylus, you would at least stand a chance. Be sure a seller is specific about the diamond, however. Many styli are sold that will fit quad cartridges but are just conical or elliptical.

I hoping someone here has purchased an aftermarket stylus that has shown positive results. The NOS stylus option is just not financially feasible due to scarcity and expense.
