Recorded March 5-7 at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, and released in stereo on May 19th, 1971. Initial quad release was Q8 only in late 1971 via a licensing deal WEA had with Ampex, but the tape was reissued as a Warner-manufactured cart alongside a CD-4 LP release of the album in late 1973.
