Most pleasantly surprising release of the year for me. A solid 10.

This disc reminds me a bit of some of the Bill Bruford solo albums....

Interesting that they've both are(or have been) King Crimson drummers?

The release of this DVD-A was a surprise indeed. I like the complexity of the rhythms, had to get used to the vocals, I admit.
As for the mix, the drums are anchored in plain stereo but the other instruments are spread over all speakers which makes for a nice soundfield.

I will not rate this one after only two spins, that will come later.
Is it me or does anyone else think the vocals sound a bit like David Bowie.
To me it is hauntingly close.

At times I hear Steely Dan, Queen, and King Crimson.
I'll listen again for Bowie, but haven't heard him yet.

Actually this CD was a great discovering for me and trully inspirational as a drummer.
