good price on quad reel deck

I'm always amazed at how poor these old reel-reel decks were in hifi terms. This thing has a S/N ratio of just 48dB at 71/2 ips (and 46 dB at 33/4 ips). That's an awful lot of noise!

fortunately I'm oblivious, they sound great, and I paid $600 to get one when my AKAI took a dump

To be honest I've seen more people pick up Akai decks (especially GX units) than Teac decks when it comes to quad. It seems like the only market for those Teac decks are for home musicians, especially the ones that can play 10" reels.
