Back when John Prine died, I was delighted to stumble upon a great video of a "House of Strombo" show from a couple of years ago. Gordon Lightfoot had shown up at the Toronto house concert and was sitting on the floor near the front, and Prine heaped all kinds of genuine praise on him, calling him his "songwriting hero."
Now there's a new documentary about Lightfoot, If You Could Read My Mind. (Here's a short review in the Times.)
