Headphone recommendation?

Hi everyone. I’m building a quadraphonic system as a gift for a special friend. I’ve got a sansui QR-6500 receiver and am looking for a good set of quadraphonic headphones to play a steely Dan quad album. Ebays got headphones from pioneer, koss and JVC. Any recommendations?

I would say JVC, as the drivers are mounted horizontally and they have a phase switch for the rear channels. Koss phones sound good but the drivers are mounted vertically so quad effect is a bit less. The Koss phones that I purchased often had at least one bad driver. I had to swap parts from one to another to get a working pair.
