Infomercials - Surround Sound?

Setting up to videotape the transition of KSMO from ATSC 1.0 to ATSC 3.0 digital TV on the 24th (it'll go to "NO SIGNAL" for me upon the switch to ATSC 3.0), infomercials are on now and the current one (PiYO) seems to have a significant amount of surround sound (DPL decoding).

I'm surprised money/time was spent to prepare this infomercial audio in stereo, much less surround sound.

Anyone else noticed infomercials in surround sound?

Have ATSC 2.0, I get surprised because some commercials have 5.1 and it puts me off guard when most content is stereo. Will note down commercials and report.
