Hi Yucca

Actually we have done some more work on it based on a custom made extrusion.......same old excuse at the moment is that we are tied up trying to finalise the new single box Y4 system.

Will happen!!

Hello Chucky,
now you can see, how the change of the Surround Master SQ/QS-Edition from a little case of plastic into those of metal with 19-inch is done and looking.
You can see the decoder, which is placed about a special 4 channel swith-box for 16 4-channel sources or sets.
I think both goes well together with any similar style.
So my quadraphonic rack has now a new gem and I don't need to wait for a now surround-master in a metal case. The quality of sound and channel separation is further on splendid!!
The led in the middle shows the power (on/off). The colour points (LED) show the mode for decoding (SQ/QS).
Best wishes from Germany
from Dietrich.

Hi Dietrich

Great to hear of your doings! Could you please post a picture.

A note to all.................

We are still working full time on a radical redevelopment of the Y4 system and then we will do the SQ version 2 as promised, really sorry about the delay but we are very over worked.

Also note there have been many changes to our web site www.involveaudio.com and www.involveaudiousa.com

Please note we are now in use in the offices of PONO. Also the RRP of the surround master has been put up to US$499. We will still hold the existing prices to existing QQ members!

Hello Chucky,

thank you for your informations. The picture from our new case for the Surround Master will follow any later, because it is difficult to sent this from Germany. If it is impossible from here, I will ask Jon Urban for help, because our "new" Surround Master looks some interesting.

Hello Dietrich,

this is a very nice looking alternative to the cheap looking plastic case from involve Audio (y):banana::yikes:yikes.

Hi All

I agree with Quadroking- nice job on the box and it does look better than our cheapo ($50,000) plastic box.....just being honest.

Meanwhile back at the ranch we have been very busy finalising the production version of the (front - rear wireless) version of the Y4 system. And on the advice of a major retailer we are now making up a Y4 all in one box that is more in keeping with the styling of the Y2 and our speaker panels. We hope theRRP of this all in one box system will be just below $3000. For all those who have ordered an existing Y4 in the dual box we will be happy to change the order to the one box solution on your reques. I think we are 2 months away from initial stock. I would love to read your collective opinions.

While agree that Dietrich has done a good job in making the Surround Master to suit his system

Would people say if Involve Made a box the same

There would always be some one that would it looks like a kit box

This a decoder that I would have killed for in the 70s

As it is said looks are not everything you don,t look at it you listen

And if you listen you will not care what box it comes in

Salutations all quad fanatics

As more evidence that we have not been sleeping all these months I have attached some actual real photo's of the coming Y4 Involve surround/ (Sweet Spot Technology/ electrostatic panel system - and no center channel!!!!!!!

We are currently assembling the first batch with few corrections required so far. I will send some internal shots in a week or so. Please note that it is actually a 10 channel amplifier and is REALLY complicated internally. Also I have a real photo of our Y2 mini stereo system for those knuckle draggers that cannot work our life is not 2D.

Hello All

For all those who doubt if we are actually making progress on the mythical Y surround sound electrostatic system here are some fresh pictures of (prototype) production photos of the internals of the 10 channel Y4/1 box complete with Involve decode and SST (Sweet Spot Technology).

Next I get to release the smoke with the subsequent bad language, recriminations and persecution of the innocent.

Wish me well!

Hi Again

For those interested in the performance of our electrostatic panels, I have attached two pdf's of tests we just conducted. We only sell them to OEM's but if you are interested in kit versions please contact (one of our partners) ER Audio on www.eraudio.com.au and talk to Rob.

Funny story. Rob and I first started working together on ELS technology in 1995, he lives in Perth and I live in Melbourne. We had to meet at Melbourne Tullamarine airport but we had never scene each other. So we needed a description of each other. I said that I was big and ugly and Rob said he was the same. We agreed that was enough.......sure enough at the airport we spotted each other in a second!

ENJOY!

Regards

Chucky

HI ALL!!

Sorry for yelling, it's Monday morning and I'm highly caffienated. Thought I'd share a couple of pics of the new Y2 system - it's our coming 2.1 setup with electrostatic uppers. We're thinking small apartments, computers, TV's, or even using a couple together with a surround master for the best quick and easy surround ever. I know that's a subjective outlook, but I've been listening to the prototypes at my desk for a long while now so I get to say that.

Ok, that's enough of that. Really just wanted to show you the unit as it's getting close to market ready. These are the first cut production prototypes, a few tweaks and they'll be shop-ready, but they're perfectly functional now, just not as easy to put together as they could be. Coming later is the Y4 complete, basically two of these bolted into a box including the involve decode and the sweet spot widening tech that I'm sure has a buzz word or trade mark by now but that's not my department.

All comments welcome of course.

~D

Hi Quadraphiles

Just a brief news flash. We have now fully tested the new Y2 and Y4 systems and we are completing the first 2 batches (of 10 and 120) to ensure all is well and for initial distribution to selected organisations and reviewers. Happy to report that we have made great improvements in terms of heat, lower noise and distortion and functionality. Next the easy stuff MARKETING!!!

Attached are two pictures of the new Y4 in our test lounge, you can see the small Y electrostatic speakers in the background. The larger one is the Nakamichi Dragon speakers that we designed in 2007, also note the flat panels attached to the TV (not in use at the moment).

Sorry about the picture quality, I took them on my phone in crappy lighting.

Regards

Chucky
