DQ - DynaQuad (maybe)
DD - Dolby Digital (1.0 to 5.1 on DVDs, DD 2.0 on DVDs usually contains the DS encoded soundtrack)

Involve's encoder is QS-based. It's a tri-band encoder, so it's more precise with placements of sounds by frequencies. The Surround Master v.2 and 3 will show, on the back panel, what setting to use for the different systems. A recording, encoded with the Involve encoder, will sound excellent when played via QS, Dolby PL II, and to some extent, Dynaquad decoders.
