First of this unit was developed for converting Stereo into Surround
Although it has a Involve (QS) decoder in it
And is the best decoder for QS encode records and CDs
When I first talked to Charlie I asked did he want me to mention that it is a QS Quadraphonic Decoder
As the word Quad was a dirty word
He said go ahead
I have played all my Stereo LPs/CDs/Radio with my QS1 then QSD1 And now Involve since about 1971
So Stereo Surround is not new to me

The Y4 Amp. as you may have seen pictures of it
Not a large unit but has a lot of weight to it
There is 10 channels at 68 RMS per channel
2 channels per speaker plus 2 channels for Sub.
The Speakers are small and would fit into the Décor of many homes
Without too much interference from The little woman

A fellow audio friend and I had a demonstration at Involve HQ.
There was a 5 inch Subwoofer also set up with it
As you may know each of the speakers has 2 power amps.to it each at a different time delay
To give a sweet spot anywhere within the surround field
And to ears it does a very good job
The sound is very clean and clear and if you want volume you can have it
Also the Sub. Has a very good thump and there is a bigger one if you want more
The music we played like anyone who has a Involve or a QS decoder
Depends on the phasing on the disc but just about any music will be enhanced
It may Surround you or give a depth of field
Just the thing for anyone to start moving past Stereo

Although I have little experience with electrostatic speakers; I must respect your knowledge and experience Charles. I'm curious to learn more about your speakers, however it looks like your web pages are a little sparse in information and display features. I have questions such as can the speakers be driven alone by an individual's current AVR etc.? And the pricing is just a bit out of reach for myself. Might you have some sort of discount in the future for QuadraphonicQuad members; which could also give you some added exposure and feedback.

You know what a strange place my mind is; for some reason I saw the below video and thought about your speakers.

Going beyond home installations, the Y4 stylish design might fit in perfectly within a pod on this sweet ride:)

Hi J Pupster

Your mind is indeed in a strange place at the moment (I should know).

The old Nakamichi Dragons had external amplifier terminal input (isolated). Tossing up at the moment to include it- probably will but it is a pain in the arse. There is zero advantage in audio terms as the Naka's are self powered with dual 100 W amplifiers and have internal active EQ to match the characteristics of the panels and woofer (it really is a wacky design- true madness by the great but deeply insane Zel. -Did I tell you I went for breakfast at his place one morning and he met me at the door with a gun at my head and escorted me to the kitchen table and told me to eat my f#$%!! breakfast - quite normal for Zel). So you really end up putting amplifiers in series, not the best idea.

The speakers are best connected straight to a pre amp (or SM V2!!), but yeah probably will do it.

Re prices. I will keep the tradition of QQ members getting an exclusive discount and an extra bonus for those who have previously purchased our stuff (you guys have been so supportive of us and its a nice place). It will be a really good discount. Another possibility is the first 10 sets made (starting in a month time) will me going tom"mates" and mates rates - so PM me and you might get them hugely cheaper. This will only be for the first 10 sets.

Amsterdam?!
Reminds me of something out of Disney Tomorrowland.

There's a great big beautiful tomorrow
Shining at the end of everyday.
