Jeff Beck R&R quad LP with CBS label?

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know the story behind the Jeff Beck Rough and Ready SQ LP that has a "CBS SQ Quadraphonic" label instead of the usual Epic one?
Photos attached below. The catalog number on it is EQ 30973 and links here: https://www.discogs.com/Jeff-Beck-Group-Rough-And-Ready/release/1901121
I looked through the quad LPs on discogs for this one and there is none with a CBS label.
The cover also has a small change on the back, there is a CBS logo in the lower right corner instead of an Epic one.
I'd be very curious to know more about this singularity so if anyone knows the story behind it please do share.

European pressings of CBS SQ discs usually state "CBS Quadraphonic" on the label instead of "Columbia Quadraphonic".

Canadian SQ's have an entirely different label variation- they state "Columbia Quadraphonic" but feature a white ring around the gold label.

Here's my Canadian SQ pressing of Garfunkel's Angel Clare:

CBS Holland use that kind of label (example:

but there is NO reference of ANY mechanichal copyrights authority, so the real country of origin is still unknown.

have to say all the Quad LP territorial variations fascinate me! here in the QQ link below are pics and discussion of some more CBS Gold label with Blue logotype and pasted on CBS sticker gold bordered Quads, just like your Rough & Ready SQ!

Here are 3 Columbia Records Canada labels with quad . For the most part the quad lp colours were grey label with white circle and red print ......and grey label with red print.

The orange print is a later Columbia Masterworks.


Besides myself , I know Fredderico finds this stuff intriguing .

It helps to identify the Countries ..... when they issued ......, and discontinued ....their quad pressings in this case-- for CBS Records.
