My favorite is Stand Up. They were touring behind that album when I first saw them live. Next time I saw them was right after Benefit was released, thus, Benefit is my 2nd favorite Tull album. I also have TAAB except I missed out on the replacement disc. Sometimes I wonder what my copy is worth without the corrected disc. 🤔🤷‍♂️


The 2022 ,Thick As A Brick is still available and at rock bottom prices in comparison to some older releases.

A New Day #145 promises a 5CD/3DVD (audio) set called The Broadsword And The Beast – Monster Edition, in September.

Plus a 4LP vinyl box that rounds up “associated tracks” on Double Edged Sword, and the Maison Rouge Demos, along with a SW remix of the album.
A Bursting Out bookset to come – 3CDs containing original album, additional tracks, sound checks and remixed Madison Square Garden show. No date yet.
January brings more vinyl (see AND!).

This 5CD+3DVD box set "Monster Edition" celebrates the 40th anniversary of the album "The Broadsword And The Beast". It features the original 1982 album and its associated tracks (including the early 1981 sessions) remixed to stereo by Steven Wilson. Also included are the 1981 demos at Maison Rouge studio and a concert in Germany in 1982. Included in this set is a booklet with interviews with the band members, cover illustrator Iain McCaig, sound engineer Leigh Mantle , as well as rare photos and memorabilia. A mixture of rock, folk and progressive music, "The Broadsword And The Beast" contains the singles "Fallen On Hard Times" and "Beastie". The 3 DVDs offer the 96/24 LPCM stereo, DTS and 5.1 surround sound versions of the album, associated tracks and the 1982 concert in Germany.

Release date September 1st.

Probably my most anticipated release of 2023 and it looks absolutely spectacular. Once again raises the bar and sets the standard for what a catalog reissue should be. (Of course it helps that this is one of my all time favorite JT titles!)
